Barbara Kay “Kay” Furlong, 70, of Green Springs, passed away on Tuesday evening, June 13, 2017 at Pristine Senior Living, Fremont.

She was born on July 8, 1946, in Galion, Ohio, to Harold and Pauline (Stockdale) Stahl.  She married Edward T. Furlong, Jr., on August 10, 1992 and he preceded her in death in 2015.

Survivors include her son, Deion (Deb) Fortney of Tiffin; daughter, Lori (Brian Wages) Bloom of Green Springs; stepsons, Ed. J. (Anna) Furlong of Toledo and Andy (Norma) Furlong of NC; stepdaughter, Ruth (Rick) Fultz of MI; brothers, Will (Paulette) Stahl of Youngstown and Jim (Donna) Stahl of Findlay; sister, Kathy (Bob) Tong of Tiffin; 11 grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her parents.

Kay moved to Republic at an early age and later to Tiffin.  She was a nurse’s aide for years at area nursing homes and worked at American Standard, as an inspector, for over 15 years.  She enjoyed Swedish weaving, painting portraits and QVC shopping.

A service will be at 12:30 P.M. on Saturday, June 17, 2017 at the Mausoleum at Seneca Memory Gardens.
