Carmella J. (Schirack) Borer

Carmella J. “Carmie” Borer, 77, of Tiffin, passed away on Thursday, April 12, 2018 at Volunteers of America Autumnwood Care Center.

She was born on January 19, 1941, in Tiffin, Ohio, to Gebhard and Mary M. (Reino) Schirack.  On October 15, 1976, she married Paul E. “Wally” Borer and he preceded her in death on January 6, 2008. 

Survivors include her daughters, Tammy (Harold) Minton of Marblehead and Lisa Zeigler of Tiffin; grandchildren, Jessica (James) Besser, Stacey (Derrick) Rhodes, Lindsay Zeigler, Krista Zeigler and Jarrett Minton; and great grandchildren, Keygan, Jacie, Mackenzie, Lilly, Aubreyonna, Javin, Donivyn, Jysen, Jexley, Jaylee, Braxtyn, Cambrye, Tyriss, Tyanna, Tyasiah.

She was also preceded in death by her parents.

Carmie was a member of Christ’s Church at Tiffin and graduated from Hopewell Loudon High School in 1959. She enjoyed watching old movies, crocheting, grandchildren activities, church and making bb soup for the family.

Her funeral service will be at Noon on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at Christ Church at Tiffin with Minister Curt Gallmeyer officiating.  Burial will follow in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery.

Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 to 12:00 P.M. until the time of the Service at Church.

Memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice and Christ Church at Tiffin.
