Dale W. Lewis, Jr., 92, passed away on Monday evening, August 28, 2017 at Bridge Hospice, Findlay.

He was born on April 24, 1925, in Tiffin, Ohio, to Dale F. and Emma E. (Brause) Lewis.  On April 10, 1948, he married Florence R. Hartley and she preceded him in death on January 1, 2017.

Survivors include his daughter, Sandra (Ronald) Sporl of Slidell, LA; two sons, Robert E. (Diane) Lewis of Paw Paw, MI and Gary R. (Amy) Lewis of Huron; brother, Donald W. (Emily) Lewis of Dora, FL; six grandchildren; and fourteen great grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by his parents; brother, Ralph M. Lewis; sisters, Ruth E. Kohlengere, Janet M. Kerschner and Mary M. Seilar; and grandson, David Lewis.

Dale graduated in 1943 from Tiffin Columbian High School and was a lifelong farmer.  He was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ and served as board president for 12 years for Tiffin Farmer’s Cooperative, Inc. and served on the Board of Trustees for Ohio Rural Electric Cooperative, Inc. from January 1, 1983 to March 18, 1995, as chairman from 1990 to 1992 and on the Board of Trustees for North Central Electric Cooperative, Inc. from 1977 to 1995 and on Seneca County landmark Cooperative, Inc. for 12 years.  Dale enjoyed drives around the county and visiting with family.

There will be a private Graveside Service at Greenlawn Cemetery.
