Diane Marie Adkins-Reid, 78, of Findlay, passed away on Sunday evening, April 30, 2017 at the University of Toledo Medical Center.

She was born on July 3, 1938, in Fremont, Ohio to Richard and Elanore (Grachek) Babione.  On September 15, 1956, she married Charlie Adkins and he preceded her in death on October 17, 1985.   She married Donald W. Reid on August 29, 1986 and he preceded her in death on October 10, 2008. 

Survivors include her sons, James (France) Adkins and Richard “Rusty” (Julie) Adkins, both of Tiffin; daughter, Kimberly (Patrick) Doran of Tiffin; stepdaughter, Ruth (Bob) Metcalf of Tiffin; brother, Richard L. Babione of Fremont; sisters, Doris (Dean) Yontz of Fremont and Denise LaPointe of Maumee; four grandchildren, Jenna (Michael) Kreeger, Brett Adkins, Chelsea Adkins and Erica Adkins; and two great grandchildren, Bryson and Brayden Kreeger.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Donald Babione and infant brother, Dennis J. Babione.

Diane graduated from St. Joseph Central Catholic High School, Fremont.  She was a nanny and very close to the children that she cared for and also volunteered at area agencies.   She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, the Bettsville American Legion Post 733 and enjoyed sewing, quilting, knitting, crocheting and collecting thimbles.  Diane enjoyed helping others, loved spending time with her grandchildren and was very family oriented.

Her Funeral Service will be at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, May 5, 2017 at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-2424 with Rev. Timothy Kummerer officiating.  Burial will follow in Seneca Memory Gardens.

Friends may visit with the family from 12:00 Noon until the time of the Service on Friday at the funeral home.
