Jim was a super engineer who designed and developed a practical way of semi-automating the feed and kick-out adjustments on our FORMAX machines. In the mid 1980s when he did this, automation using what was commercially available then wouldn’t have been cost justified for the company or the customers. But his design used less expensive components that did the job and were very reliable in production. This was a major factor in making the product successful then and to this day for customers and National. At least two generations of National employees are in his debt. And who will ever forget his saying, “a man convinced against his will is of the same opinion still” - that spoke volumes by itself of who he was and why we loved Jim. Sincerest condolences, Tom Hay, NMLLC retired.

We have so many fond memories of Jim and Ruth and the boys growing up! As we grew apart by distance, we reconnected as our retirement years brought us both to Florida. We will remember Jim healthy and happy when we had a visit with him and Judith a while back. Our deepest sympathies to the family.

My husband Morris Lint worked with Jim at National for many years, and we became friends with Jim and Ruth. They were truly nice people. I was so sorry to read of Jim's passing. God Bless you all.
