Jeffrey Scott Vest, 62, of Bettsville, passed away on Monday evening, October 9, 2017.

He was born on June 24, 1955, in Huntington, WV to the late Charles L., Sr. and Florence E. (Bartlett) Vest.  On June 12, 2016, he married Rita A. Gonzales. 

Survivors include his wife, Rita of Bettsville; stepsons, James B. and Mark A. Schotten; brothers, Rev. Charles L. (Kay) Vest, Jr. and Douglas A. Vest; sister, Connie L. Distel; three nieces, two nephews; and 23 great nieces and nephews.

Jeffrey attended Terra Technical College and received his Chemical Dependency License.  He had a special interest in helping others struggling with chemical dependency and PTSD.  Jeffrey served in the United States Navy and owned PJ’s Pizza in Bettsville for 14 years.

His Memorial Service will be at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, October 14, 2017 at Church on 53, 1105 CR 41, Fremont, Ohio 43420 with his brother, Rev. Charles Vest, Jr. officiating. 

There will be no visitation.

Memorial contributions may be made to Seneca Mental Substance Abuse Board or to the American Cancer Society.
