Jill R. Overmier, 70, of Tiffin, passed away peacefully Saturday afternoon, May 20, 2017 at her home surrounded by family.

On July 23, 1946 in Garrett, IN; she was born to Kenneth and Annetta (Hendrickson) Hughes.  She married Carl Overmier on September 3, 1966.

Survivors include her husband, Carl of 50 years, two daughters, Sunrae (Curtis) Milgrim of Plymouth; Carleen (Todd) Gammon of New Riegel; Twin sister, Judy (Larry) Weller of MI; sister in law, Diane Hughes of MI; and two grandsons, Nick and Nate Milgrim.

She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant daughter, Melody Overmier and a brother, Michael Hughes.

Jill was a member of the Bloomville United Church of Christ and graduated from Willard High School.  She worked at Mercy Hospital of Tiffin for over 27 years as an aid and later at Ruffing Family Care Center and Elmwood at the Shawhan.  She enjoyed playing BINGO, fishing, camping, and crocheting.  She was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aire 402 and the Bloomville American Legion Auxiliary.

A Memorial Service will be Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at 7:00 PM at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory with Pastor Todd Kagy officiating.  Burial will be private at Seneca Memory Gardens.

Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday from 4-7 PM at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice Care, FACT, or Bloomville United Church of Christ.
