John Richard Brodman, 19, of Tiffin, passed away Sunday morning, June 18, 2017 at his home.

On July 9, 1997 in Tiffin, he was born to Richard and Cynthia (Carroll) Brodman.

Survivors include his parents, brother Joe Brodman of Whitewater, WI, sisters Emma Brodman of Oxford, OH and Cecilia Brodman of Tiffin, grandmother Karen Carroll of Sandusky, OH and many cousins, aunts, and uncles.

John was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church where he was a Mass Server, graduated from Tiffin Calvert Catholic High School in 2016, where he wrestled, ran track and cross country, and on quiz bowl teams. He was a sophomore at Muskingum University where he studied Computer Science and was on the wrestling team. He was currently working at Tiffin Wal-Mart during the summer. Music was an important part of John’s life, he played guitar, played basketball, running, working out and was in the Boy Scouts of America for many years. He took many trips to Wisconsin to visit family and enjoyed going on religious retreats to Steubenville and Kairos. John will be remembered for his trivia and smile.

His Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, June 22, 2017 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Rev. Joseph Szybka officiating. A Rosary will be prayed 20 minutes prior to Mass. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.

Friends may visit on Wednesday, June 21, 2017 from 2-8:00 P.M. at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-2424. A Wake service will begin at 1:30 pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Muskingum University Wrestling, 163 Stormont St., New Concord, OH 43762
