Joseph F. “Joe” Keller, 51, of Tiffin and Co-Owner of John’s Welding and Towing, passed away Saturday afternoon, April 22, 2017 at the James Cancer Hospital in Columbus surrounded by his family after a lengthy illness.

Joe was born on July 14, 1965, in Tiffin, Ohio, to John and Patricia (Cook) Keller. 

He married Jennifer (DeRan) Steiner on April 3, 1992 and they later divorced.  They had two sons, John Francis Keller and Jason James Keller, both of Tiffin.  Also surviving are three siblings, brother and co-owner of John’s Welding & Towing,  James (Mary Jane) Keller and twin sisters, Jane (Ronald) Link and Jeanie (Michael) Fisher, all of Tiffin; granddaughter, Quinn Kenner; fiancé Kimberly Walton of Harpster and her children, Kyle (Nick) Walton of MI, Shelby Walton of Marion, Cassie Walton of Findlay, Kristen (Mark) Brobst of Tiffin and Marissa Walton of Harpster; many nieces, nephews, god children and great nieces and great nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Joe graduated in 1984 from Tiffin Calvert High School and was co-owner of John’s Welding and Towing with his brother, Jim and his father, John.  The business was started in 1948 and then expanded in 1991 and  Joe was passionate about his work and tow trucks.  He enjoyed playing Santa Claus at Christmas, riding his motorcycle, cooking out with his family and friends and he loved his dog, Buddy.  Joe will be missed by everyone that met him.  

His service will be at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, April 27, 2017 at The Ohio Memorial Chapel, 600 North River Road, Tiffin, Ohio 44883 with Rev. Douglas DeVos officiating.  Burial will be at a later date at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.  The family asks that casual dress be worn for the visitation and funeral.

Friends may visit on Wednesday, April 26, 2017 from 2-8:00 P.M. at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, 419-447-2424.

Tow trucks to meet at the funeral home Thursday at 9:30 am to process to the chapel.
