Michela “Mickey” C. Simpkins, 73, of Tiffin, passed away on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at Stein Hospice in Sandusky.

She was born January 25, 1944 to Earl “Jake” and Arnoline “Jean” (Arno) Harrington. On January 29, 1993, she married Allan E. Simpkins.

She is survived by her husband Allan of Tiffin; three sons, Mike Chaney of Tiffin, Dave Chaney of Fostoria and Dan Chaney of Tiffin; two Stepsons, Mike Simpkins of Arizona and Perry Simpkins of Hilliard; one daughter, Jeanne Howard of Castalia; two stepdaughters Pam Ratcliff of Fremont and Judy Riley of Tiffin; 20 Grandchildren; and 19  great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Steve Chaney; and a great grandchild.

Michela graduated from Tiffin Columbian High School and was member of St. Mary Catholic Church, worked in activities at Tiffin Developmental Center for over 15 years and later retired. She enjoyed making crafts, decorating, crossword puzzles, reading the Bible, watching the news, Hallmark Channel, Sci-fi movies and Golden Girls. She enjoyed trips around the area and enjoyed the company of her three dogs; Lily, Jake and D.J.  

Visitation will be Wednesday, January 24, 2018  from 11-12 Noon at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home and Crematory, 236 South Washington Street, Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419)447-2424. The Graveside service will follow at Noon the St. Mary Catholic Cemetery with Rev. Gary Walters officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
