Owen M. Ballreich, 89, of Tiffin, passed away on Sunday morning, July 30, 2017 at his home.

He was born on July 26, 1928, in Tiffin, Ohio, to Carl and Emma (Bretzloff) Ballreich.  On October 24, 1953, he married Martha Lepley.

Survivors include his wife, Martha of Tiffin; brother, Donald ( Marilyn) Ballreich of Tiffin; sister, Phyllis Reis of Tiffin.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Owen graduated in 1947 from Tiffin Columbian High School and served in the United States Army during the Korean War.  He was associated with Ballreich Brothers Potato Chip Company, retiring in 1992 and was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ, Tiffin Elks Lodge #94, Tiffin Masonic Lodge #77 and the Tiffin Shrine Club.  Owen enjoyed fishing and flying.

Services will be private and a burial private  in Greenlawn Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. John’s United Church of Christ.
