Paul Jeffrey Moffett, 75, of Tiffin, lost his long battle with Parkinson’s disease, on Friday afternoon, June 2 , 2017.

He was born on August 28, 1941 in Chicago, IL to Paul and Imogene (Funk) Moffett.  On June 1, 1996, at home, he married Alma Rose Breidenbach. 

Survivors include his sons, Jim (Rebecca) Moffett of Liberty, IN and Jeffrey (Andrea) Moffett of Erie, PA; step-daughters, Kimberly Jo Lee and Kelly VanCamp, both of Tiffin; brother, Dave (Carmen) Moffett of Dallas, GA; three sisters,  twin sister, Barbara Kingsmore of Broadwater, FL,  Janice Alt of New Lexington and Mary (Shin) of Duluth, MN; 4 grandchildren, Zachary, Ellie, Evan and Leah; and step-grandchildren, Chris (Briana) Lee, Steven (Michelle) Lee & Michael (Tori Stephens) Lee; and 4 step-great grandchildren, Nolan and Piper Lee and Max and Carter Lee.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Alma; brother, Tom; sister, Marlene.

Paul graduated in 1959 from Tiffin Columbian High School and served in the United States Army Signal Corps from 1962-1965.  He was an assembler at National Machinery for 35 years and was a caddy at Mohawk Golf Club.  He was a Little League baseball coach, a long time ASA, USSSA and Women’s NCAA softball umpire, enjoyed golfing, was an avid fisherman and was a lifelong coon hunter, friend and mentor to many other coon hunters.  In his retirement, he was an avid arrowhead hunter and enjoyed woodworking.  He developed a passion for turkey hunting across the country and he and his wife, Alma, won many dance competitions.  Paul was known for his dedication, work ethic, punctuality and passion for his work and play and had a special love for his grandchildren.

His funeral service will be at 10:00 A.M on Thursday, June 8, 2017 at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-2424 with Rev. Joseph Szybka officiating.  Burial will be at a later date at Greenlawn Cemetery.

Friends may visit with the family from 5-8:00 P.M. on Wednesday, June 7, 2017 at the funeral home.
