Ramon Huffman Obituary

Ramon “Red” W. Huffman, 82, of Tiffin, passed away on Monday evening, February 26, 2018 at his home.

He was born on October 21, 1935, in Tiffin, Ohio to Roscoe and Lillian (Heminger) Huffman.  On September 17, 1955 in Richmond Indiana, he married Suzanne Grover.

Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Suzanne of Tiffin; sons, Duane (Marilyn) Huffman of Marysville and Ron (Jill) Huffman of Tiffin; daughter, Kathy Huffman of Tiffin; sisters, Mary Lou (Ron) Harbour of Upper Sandusky and Roxanne Glick of Tiffin; 20 grandchildren; and 22 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sons, Michael Huffman and Tom Huffman; brothers, Wayne Huffman, Charles “Buddy” Huffman, Roger Huffman and Robert Huffman; and granddaughter, Allison Huffman.

Red graduated in 1954 from McCutchenville High School, was owner, along with his son, Michael, of Huffman’s Concessions and Willow Springs Deli, owned Huffman’s Wiring and Plumbing for over 50 years, worked at General Electric for 31 years and was still working up until two weeks ago.   He was a member of First Lutheran Church, where he ushered for years and was also a member of Tiffin Moose #846.  Red played guitar and sang for over 20 years in local bands, enjoyed camping, visiting museums and going on Sunday drives.  No one ever went hungry under his roof and he never met a stranger.

His Funeral Service will be at 12:30 P.M. on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at First Lutheran Church with Rev. Clayton Bailey officiating.  Burial will follow in Fairmont Cemetery.

Friends may visit with family from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the Service, in the Dietz Room, at First Lutheran Church.

Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
