Shawn Michael Correll, 36, of Tiffin, passed away on Thursday morning, August 17, 2017 at Bridge Hospice Care Center, Findlay.

He was born on August 25, 1980, in Tiffin, Ohio to Stephen and Barbara (Davis) Correll.  On June 8, 2001, he married Jennifer D. Reser.

Survivors include his parents, Stephen and Barbara, both of Tiffin; wife, Jennifer Correll of Tiffin; son, Nathan Correll of Tiffin; daughter, Chloe Correll of Tiffin; sisters, Jennifer Jeffrey of Tiffin and Cathy Miller of Fostoria; father-in-law and mother-in-law, James and Paula Reser of Tiffin; grandparents, Bertha Correll of Tiffin and Norma Davis of Tiffin; grandparents-in-law, Leo and Ann Reser of Florida; sister-in-law, Stefanie Reser of Tiffin; brother-in-law, James, Jr. (Leigh Anne) Reser of Brunswick; nephews, Gary, Jacob and Alex Jeffrey, Blake and Devon Miller and Jaxson Reser; and niece, Kora Scott.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Alfred Correll, Paul Davis, Cebern Adkins and Nellie Adkins.

Shawn graduated in 1998 from Mohawk High School and from Owen Police Academy in 2001.  He worked for the Seneca County Youth Center for years, the Attica Police Department for nine years and was most recently the Chief of Police for the Village of New Riegel and a police officer for the Tiffin Developmental Center.  He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police of Ohio, Inc., the Knights of Columbus #608 and enjoyed playing guitar, listening to music, collecting, trading and selling guns and guitars, disc golf, his three dogs, Cooper, Zoey and Echo, vacationing with his family and loved playing with his children.

His Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, August 21, 2017 at St. Mary Catholic Church with Rev. Anthony Coci  and Rev. Joseph Szybka con-celebrating.  A Rosary will be prayed 20 minutes prior to Mass.  Burial will follow in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery.

Friends may with the family from 1:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. on Sunday, August 20, 2017 at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-2424. A Christian Wake Service will begin at 5:00 P.M.
