Wendell  Joseph Serin, 81, of Tiffin, passed away Wednesday evening, October 4, 2017 at Bridge Hospice Care Center, Findlay.

He was born on February 17, 1936, in Berwick, Ohio, to John and Estia (Cotterman) Serin.  On June 12, 1998, he married Rose Mary (Shepherd) Sharp.

Survivors include his wife, Rose of Tiffin; stepdaughters, Sherri (John “Jay”) Campbell of Delaware and Robin (John) Cordell Rosipko of Tiffin; brother, John Albert Serin of Florida; sister, Helen (Hal) Gear of Florida; and grandchildren, Maddison, Collin and Evan Cordell.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Donna Hill.

Wendell graduated from McCutchenville High School in 1954.  After high school, he served in the United States Army and in the Army Reserves.  He retired from Airfold Textron in Fostoria after 30 years and was a member St. Mary Catholic Church and AFW in Findlay.  He enjoyed bowling, fishing, dancing and working on cars and machines in his workshop.  Wendell loved spending time with his grandchildren and working on projects with them.

His Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at St. Mary Catholic Church with Rev. Gary Walters officiating.  A Rosary will be prayed 20 minutes prior to Mass.  Entombment will follow in Seneca Memory Gardens.
