William E. Daniel

January 16, 1950 ~ December 17, 2017 (age 67) 67 Years Old

William E. Daniel, 67, of Tiffin, passed away Sunday morning, December 17, 2017 at his home.

On January 16, 1950 in Columbus, he was born to Thomas E. and Lillian E. (McGraw) Daniel.  He married Kathleen L. Heimrick on September 4, 1971.

He is survived by his wife Kathy of 46 years, a son, Brian Daniel and his Fiancée, Peggy Von Burkleo and her son Connor of Gualala, CA; daughters, Jenny (Patrick) Wedge of Cape Coral, FL; Pastor Amy Vittorio of Tiffin; three grandchildren, Cody and Amberlyn Wedge and Nico Vittorio.  Also surviving is a brother, Charles (Nora) Daniel of Marion, OH.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Wayne, Bruce, and Tom Daniel; four sisters, Shirley Daniel, Ruth Davis, Mary Jenkins, and Cora Lewis.

Bill was a 1968 graduate of Archbold High School and attended Fort Wayne Bible College, Winebrenner Seminary, and Urbana College.  He was licensed to preach for Christian Union Church and was a pastor in Logansville and Forest in the early 1970’s.  He worked at National Machinery for over 24 years in various positions, an Insurance Agent for American Family Co. and currently for Allstate with his office in downtown Tiffin the past 12 years.  Bill was a member and volunteered his time at St. Paul United Methodist Church as past chairman of the Finance Committee, Mission Committee, Trustee, Lay Leader, and Admin. Council.  He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren, gardening, yard work, camping, RVing, and staying busy remodeling and fixing things around the house.

Private graveside services were held at Bethel Cemetery in McCutchenville. 

A celebration of life service will be at 1:30 P.M. on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at St Paul United Methodist Church with refreshment to follow.  

Memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice Care, Tiffin Mercy Home Health, St. Paul United Methodist Church or Donor’s Choice.
