I cannot express in words how deeply saddened I am by Bill's passing and how terribly sorry I am for your loss. Sweet Jackie, my heart breaks for you. I just went by the house the weekend before last. I think about Julie and Lance regularly and lil Dan the man, who is all grown up now. I will eternally have fond memories of my days at the Wentz house and downtown. And I will never forget Bill's grin; he always looked like he was up to shenanigans. What a stand up, salt -of- the- Earth guy; we are all better for having known him. I love you all and I am sending big hugs & positive thoughts, during this extremely difficult time.

I was sad to learn the other evening that Uncle Bill had passed away. He was always very kind to me, and will be missed by us. I know that I will miss our conversations around sports and his humorous side. Our thoughts and prayers are with our family, especially Jackie and my cousins.

Dear Jackie & Children
So sorry to hear of Uncle Bill's passing. We talked briefly at the family reunion at Danny's a few years back, that was the first time in over sixty years but now I'm recalling the fun times I had out at the farm with him and the rest of my uncles an aunt's. RIP Uncle Bill.

Bill Fletcher was truly a man who exemplified many virtues, among them were character, persistence and a deep knowledge of historic preservation. Perhaps most outstanding was an abiding love, a love of family, friends and community. May he rest in peace and may God be with Jackie and the Fletcher family at this difficult time.

Dear Jackie, It has been many years since we have last been in touch but I have seen your postings on Facebook from time to time. I am so sorry you have lost your best friend and the love of your life. I have many fond memories of my times around Bill and the Fletcher family while enjoying my friendship with Susie. He was always pleasant, kind and the big brother type.
You, too, were such a good friend. I am happy you two were able to have a pleasant life for all these years in Tiffin, Ohio. I have lived in Western Colorado for 24 years so have lost touch with many of my old Ohio friends. However, you will be in my thoughts and prayers today and in the future as you find a new way of life for yourself.
It was good to see the picture of Bill. It is exactly how I remember him. Handsome guy that he was!
Sending love and hugs
Priscilla

RIP Bill Fletcher, a good and loyal Tiffinite, community volunteer, and solid citizen. The American landscape is made better by those people who give of themselves to neighbors, and to the sinew of life in small town America. Bill was one of those rare individuals. The Ritz, the Downtown, and the bones of what is left of historic Tiffin and Seneca county owe Bill and Jackie a debt of gratitude. All I can say is that the Pearly Gates now have a restoration specialist on staff. Thoughts and prayers, Frederick and Susan Collar-- Maumee, Ohio.

I met Bill at the YMCA pool a couple years ago and we talked a lot about his granddaughter Anna who was on the Tiffin Columbian swim team. My grandson Colin is a year behind her at school and was on the swim team the past 2 years.Bill talked about Anna all the time. Hr was very proud of his granddaughter academic and sports accomplishments and we talked a lot about the Tiffin Public schools and Heidelberg University and how I had graduated from Heidelberg with a Bachelor of Music degree in 1970 and had taught in the TPS as a band director before finishing out my music teaching career at Oak Harbor Schools in 2000. He had a love for classical, jazz. big band and many other types of music. I would see him often at concerts I attended and we always talked about the many resources out children and grandchildren experienced here in Tiffin. I will miss Bill and his talks in the pool and locker room. He especially helped me when my wife Barbara passed away in Jan. of this year. and her struggle with cancer. Bill was a very special friend of mine even though I only knew him for only a couple of years. To Bills family my thoughts and prayers go out to you during this time of the loss of your loved one. Rest in Peace my friend. I was so glad I was able to share your friendship here on earth and I will always remember you kind and caring words of wisdom.
