Christel M. (Luzader) Warren

Christel M. Warren, 75, of Tiffin, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 15, 2024, at St. Francis Home after a long hard-fought battle with CNS lymphoma. She was born on her eldest sister’s 9th birthday on July 20, 1948, to Verne D. and Ruth Maxine (Feisel) Luzader. She married Theodore (Ted) Warren on October 24, 1987.

Survivors include her son, Jacob T. Warren of Tiffin; daughter, Heather M. Shorts of Fremont; brother, Stanley W. Luzader of Tiffin; sister, Winifred M. Hite of Bettsville; grandchildren, Nicholas Dahms and Chloe Shorts; great grandchildren, Oliver and Daxtynn Dahm; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ted; parents and stepfather, Bob Shultz; brother, Donald (Eugene) Luzader; sisters, Janet M. Farrer and Priscilla M. Luzader; son-in-law, John Shorts; and grandchildren, Josh and Chelsea.

Christel was a 1967 graduate of Tiffin Columbian High School and worked for many years at Circle K, and then Southside Laundry. She was a member of the Women of the Moose for many years. She was a believer in God and loved listening to her country gospel CDs.  She loved to read; she and her sisters used to rotate their book collections amongst each other. If she didn’t have her nose in a book or magazine, she would be watching TV or playing games on her iPad. She would tell anyone who would listen about her grandkids and great grandkids. She was an immensely proud grandma.  

The family would like to thank the wonderful staff in the Chiara Unit of St. Francis. We would also like to extend our gratitude to Heartland Hospice, who kept our mother comfortable in her final days.

There will not be any services, as this was her wish.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society or to the family.
