Gregory W. “Greg” Young, 69, of Tiffin passed away Saturday morning March 30, 2024 at his home following a brief illness.
He was born on May 20, 1954, in Tiffin, Ohio, to Howard Duke and Mary Ellen (Lenz) Young.
Survivors include his son, Tyler (Amy) Young of Findlay; daughters, Nichole Payne of Fort Worth, TX and Erika (Marshel) Schaffer of Houston; brother, David (Tracy) Young of Leakey, TX ; sisters, Linda Hohman of Tiffin and Barb (Dan) Justen of Stow; five grandchildren, Christian, Aiden, Diesel, Slate and Marques; and his significant other for eleven years, Angela Bour and her children, Adam, Abby, Ronald, Aubrey and Paige.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Howard Young; and sister, Mary Louise Peacock.
Greg graduated in 1972 from Tiffin Columbian High School. After high school, he served in the United States Air Force from 1972 to 1982. In 2015, after 30 years, Greg retired as an electrician from Arm & Hammer. After retirement, he was a handyman to everyone. He enjoyed golfing, boating, liked cars, traveling to Iceland and around the World, loved his birds, Lily and Jessie James and enjoyed spending time with his close friends and his friends at Stiney’s Three Oaks.
Friends may visit with the family from 3-5:00 P.M. on Monday, April 15, 2024 at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-2424. Military Honors will be conducted at 5:00 P.M.
