A graduate of Calvert High School and Tiffin University with a degree in Business, Alice found her true vocation in “all things” family. She met Dick at a group of electric guitar players. She found comfort in her hobbies of sewing, crocheting, knitting, baking with her sister, Clara Welter, quilting, serving as secretary of the Daughters of Isabell bowling league, also serving as secretary to the principals of St. Joseph School for twenty years and the School Board at that time. She loved doing things in the kitchen that she learned from her mother, such as pickling, freezing and canning vegetables and fruits. She was known for her homemade ketchup, being a great cook, liking to be outdoors, boating and working in the garden.
The family would like to give a special thank you to the staff at St. Francis Assisted Living and Nursing Home for all the kind and tender care they gave to her and the family.
