Arthur R. Reinhart, 87, of Tiffin, passed away on Sunday, May 5, 2019 at his home.
He was born on October 20, 1931, in Seneca County, to Sylvester and Lavina (Werling) Reinhart. On August 16, 1958 in St. Boniface Catholic Church, he married Estella A. Hohman and she preceded him in death on October 24, 2011.
Survivors include his son, Peter (Jennifer) Reinhart of Tiffin; daughters, Margaret M. (Marc) Scalf of Bowling Green, Lisa A. (Bob) Testen of Frederick, MD; six grandchildren, Stephanie (Scalf) Leber, Sara Arnett, Kaley Reinhart, Francesca Testen, Lucas Reinhart and Giovanna Testen; and five great grandchildren, Camille, Cadance and Colin Leber and Hunter and Hudson Arnett.
He was also preceded in death by his parents; brother, Richard Reinhart; and sister, Dorothy Ziger.
Arthur served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War, owned Reinhart’s Old Fashion Ice Cream Shop, with his wife, for several years and retired in 1991 from Autolite in Fostoria, after 25 years. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church where he enjoyed volunteering at the church festivals and he also enjoyed working on home improvement projects over the years.
His Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, May 11, 2019 at St. Mary Catholic Church with Rev. Anthony Coci officiating. A Rosary will be prayed 20 minutes prior to Mass. Burial will follow in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery with military honors being conducted by the United Veterans Council.
