Carol S. (Puffenberger) Griffin

Carol S. Griffin, 73, of Tiffin, passed away on Tuesday morning, October 9, 2018 at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, Toledo.

She was born on August 22, 1945, in Tiffin, Ohio to Dale and Elenor (VanGilder) Puffenberger.  On May 20, 1989, she married Mark Griffin.

Survivors include her husband, Mark of Tiffin; son, Tim (Kim) Feasel of Tiffin; daughters, Holly Feasel of Tiffin and Amanda (Mike) Mathern of Englewood, FL; step sons, Mark (Connie) Griffin and Mike (Jill) Griffin, both of Tiffin; step daughter, Denise (Mark) Stephens of Tiffin; brothers, Marty (Doris) Puffenberger of Cincinnati, Jim (Carol) Puffenberger of Fremont and Mike Puffenberger of Tiffin; sisters, Pat (John) Englehart and Lou Ann (Tim) Kuhn, both of Tiffin; 16 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Sharon Tilton; sister-in-law, Cleo Puffenberger; and her dog Freckles.

Carol graduated in 1964 from Old Fort High School  and worked as a waitress at Wyme’s for 37 years.  She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, was a  Pittsburgh Steelers fan, enjoyed traveling with her husband and friends, landscaping, yard work, flowers, doing crosswords, playing Euchre, walking her dog, spending time with her friends and grandchildren.

Her Funeral Service will be at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, October 15, 2018 at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-2424 with Rev. Joseph Szybka officiating.  Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery.

Friends may visit with the family from 2-6:00 P.M. on Sunday, October 14, 2018 at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
