Carol Von Blon, 84, of Tiffin, passed away on Wednesday, March 6, 2019 at Mercy Health-Tiffin Hospital.
She was born on February 28, 1935, in Little Mexico, Ohio to Lewis A. and Irene (Ingman) Grubb. She married Gene Von Blon on June 7, 1954 and they later divorced.
Survivors include her sons, Robb Von Blon of McCutchenville and Scott (Nancy) Von Blon of Sycamore; daughters, Dawn (Mike) Kessler of Tiffin and Wendy Von Blon of Cincinnati; sister, Roxanne Ames of Delaware; 13 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Donald Grubb and Phillip Grubb and sister, Margaret Loose.
Carol graduated in 1953 from Sycamore High School, was a waitress at the Pioneer Mill, bartender at Mohawk Country Club and worked in the Bill Sowers Gift Shop in Sycamore. She was a member of Sycamore United Methodist Church and enjoyed reading, making flower arrangements and spending time with her family.
There will be no visitation and at Carol’s request, a private service will take place.
Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
