Cathy C. (Risner) Hedrick

Cathy Colleen Elizabeth Hedrick, 64, passed away at 8:05 p.m. Friday, June 8, 2018, at Wyandot County Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Upper Sandusky.

She was born Feb. 26, 1954, in Wyandot Memorial Hospital, to Francine and Derry Risner. She married Brad Hedrick May 4, 2001, in Las Vegas, Nevada. They were married 17 loving years.

She is survived by her husband; her mother; and seven siblings, Tom (Wanda) Risner of Sycamore, Mark Risner of Tiffin, Melodi (Bill) Hooper of Sycamore, Chris (Jeff) Johnson of Sycamore, Nathan Risner of Upper Sandusky, Jeff Grove of Upper Sandusky; and Mary Risner of Tiffin.

Cathy was preceded in death by her father; a stepson, Brady Hedrick; and a sister, Tabitha Risner.

She was a 1972 graduate of Mohawk High School, furthering her education at Ohio State University, Terra State Community College, and Heidelberg University. She worked at The State Hospital and Evergreen Plastic, where she retired. She continued working at The Advertiser-Tribune for many years after retirement.

In her free time, she loved spending time at their pool and down at the river, with family, friends and their dog, Briar. And, she loved family parties with her brothers and sisters. She was a mother to all her nieces and nephews.

Cathy was always willing to help anyone in need. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She has found her final resting place with her Heavenly Father.

A celebration of Cathy's life will take place at a later date.
