Constance Maxine “Connie” (Kime) Burns, 87, of Tiffin, passed away on Monday, October 16, 2017, at 3:14 P.M., peacefully at Volunteers of America Autumnwood Care Center.

She was born on December 17, 1929, in Tiffin, Ohio, to Noah and Ora (Day) Kime.  On July 8, 1950, in St. Mary Catholic Church, she married James R. Burns and he preceded her in death on July 26, 2000.

Survivors include her sons, James R. Burns, Jr. of Tiffin, Carl J. (Connie Goebel) Burns of Wilmington, NC, and Scott A. (Veronica Rejman) Burns of Norwalk; daughter, Sandra (Bruce) Hayward; Brother, Arthur (Fran) Kime of Tiffin; five grandchildren, Charles Hayward, Sarah Hayward McCalla, Kris Reiter, Dustin and Westley Goebel; and seven great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her son, Timothy Allen Burns; brother, Jack Kime; sister, Sharon Rose Kime; and granddaughter, Savannah Reiter.

Connie worked for the Tiffin Eagles, doctor offices and other organizations doing janitorial work.  She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, member and past president of Eagles Aerie #402 and enjoyed crafts and making granny dolls and angels.

Her Funeral Service will be at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, October 20, 2017 at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-2424 with Rev. Anthony Coci officiating.  Burial will be in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery.

Friends may visit with the family from 4-8:00 P.M. on Thursday, October 19, 2017 at the Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice Care or to the Activities Department at Volunteers of America Autumnwood Care Center.
