Daniel D. Callaghan, 82, of Tiffin, passed away on Thursday morning, April 6, 2017 at Volunteers of America Autumnwood Care Center.

He was born on May 3, 1934, in Seneca County, Ohio, to Robert L. and Louise (Cook) Callaghan.

Survivors include his niece and nephews, Ann, Steve (Amy), and Ned (Katherine).

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Jim and Bob Callaghan; and nephew, Tom Callaghan.

Dan worked at National Machinery, the Wal-Mart Photography Center, was an avid photographer and starting at the age of 13 was a HAM radio operator under call number W8mtd.  Dan enjoyed spending time with his close friends Mike Gardner, Bob King and Gary Flechtner.

His funeral service will be at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, May 6, 2017 at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883 with Rev. Joseph Szybka officiating.  Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.

Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service on Saturday, May 6, 2017 at the funeral home.
