Dad,
Everyone who ever met you had genuine and kind things to say about how you touched their lives. You and Mom achieved the ultimate of personal goals: faithful servants, dutiful parents, loyal friends, and open to helping those in need. We are your children - proud and honored to have lived life by your side. You've taught us all we need to know to go forward alone, but we will never forget the example you set. The light that shines from your life shadows brightens our path and guides the way. We welcome your intercession with Jesus Christ on our behalf.

Thank you for all that you did for us during your lives. We appreciated every moment. Our love for you lives in the memories you made for us. May God bless you always and shine His divine mercy upon you.

Love, Michael, David Jr., Jeffery, and Karen. "The Klopp kids."

To all the Pat and Dave Klopp's sons, daughter and their families, sorry this is late coming, but in Florida for winter and unable to attend Dave's funeral and also my brother Tom's funeral tomorrow. Know that my thoughts and prayers are with you, my deceased husband Ed and I had the pleasure of attending all twelve years of school at St. Joseph's and Calvert, and our friendship continued during our young married years, as our four couples met on regular schedule, for cards and visiting while our children were young, what wonderful memories we hold dear. Thanks for letting Ed and I enjoy your growing up to, and all the good things we shared with Pat and Dave. Lots of prayers and hugs, June Krupp Swope.

Mrs. Swope,
We Klopp kids have vibrant memories of card club goodies that we were able to sneak up to our bedrooms because of monthly social gatherings with our parents, The Ewald's, The Getz's, and you and Mr. Swope. Black olives, gherkin pickles, and Ballreich's potato chips - what a treat. Your family brought fun and companionship to ours for many years. Thank you for your thoughtful condolences.

Thank you all for your kind words about dad.
He and our mom left lasting memories for us all. While we miss him everyday we are so happy for him to be reunited with his one and only love, our mom Pat. Theirs was a true love story about a couple growing up, raising their children, and being laid to rest in a little town called Tiffin.
We feel very blessed to have been raised by two gentle, giving parents.

Dear Mike, Dave, Karen and Jeff,
I am so sorry that your dad has passed; he lived, I believe a wonderful life. He was so happy when he was with you all. I am so very sorry I am not there with you. And it is me that is missing out, because I want to hear your stories. I did not know everything about Uncle Dave that was in the obituary, and I wonder why I did not know.

i never knew many things, but it doesn't mean I can't bridge the gap now. We grew up a half mile from each other, and together at every holiday, and yet as a kid we just did like we did. Now I offer my apologies for being absent today.
I can hardly believe I was blessed to have some time with Uncle Dave this summer. I came over to his place for the evening and we just talked. He talked to me!, all I had to do was listen. And of course I did a lot of talking too.... I thought I would get to come back though. I think we were able to understand some things about my dad and him, and I was so happy he knew me a little more. Did you ever read "the first five people you meet in heaven?" It's a wonderful story about misunderstandings, and then when you get to heaven, you understand what the real story was under the misunderstandings. Maybe your dad will no longer have to put up with misunderstandings. He seemed very wise and past that for himself.
I loved seeing him, and his bowl of candy, and his delight in life. Vicki

Our sincere sympathy to you on the loss of your Dad. Your mom and dad were very special people and I have many great memories. I remember when we build our home Uncle Dave was here helping Denny do all the plumbing. I remember them visiting and cutting and giving Aunt Pat perms while Denny and Uncle Dave enjoying the pies that Uncle Dave would bring. I'm sure he will be missed by many.

Condolences to the entire Klopp family. My parents, Bill and Sandy Carlson, were original neighbors who built a house on Lelar Street as well. I remember many stories of the Pogmothoin Club my mother shared with me in college. Your mom and dad had such a zest for life--always a smile on their faces and would help anyone in good times and bad. God bless you all at this difficult time and may their love for life live through you.

What a rich and fulfilling life your dad lived. In recent years, I will remember seeing him at church when we lived in Avon Lake, and often at St. Francis where he lived next door to our mom. He was always smiling and positive whenever I saw him. Knowing how much it meant to me that Dave and his son, Dave, came to our dad's and our brother Tom's funerals in Wickenburg, AZ, I very much wish I could be in Tiffin for his memorial. Unfortunately, it is not possible, but prayers will be said for him often, and especially on that day as I think of everyone gathering to remember his life.

To the Klopp children

Our sincere sympathy to you on the loss of your father. Back in the day, four couples spent monthly gatherings playing euchre. We never spent much time playing cards buy we certainly had fun and many laughs solving the world's problems. You will miss him greatly but he probably left this world as he would choose to go. He was a good guy - and so very proud of all of you.

With our prayers,
Jim and Jane

Dad's annual visit to Arizona for the holidays was filled with reminiscing, food & fun, visiting, nightly "Match Game", grand kids, great grand kids, and just being together. Dad cherished his family and friends in Arizona, Ohio, and elsewhere. He told me often that he loved living in Tiffin, and wouldn't have changed one thing about his life. It's evident in the kind words published here that Dad enjoyed the people in his life and they appreciated him. Thank you for your generous and complimentary comments. The family greatly appreciates all your kind words.

Will miss having Breakfast with Dave at Paulette's in the morning. It's been almost three years since we moved to Texas but I always looked forward to seeing him when we were in Ohio. Prior to moving, it was great to solve all of the worlds problems every morning. To know Dave as just a friend is as much as anyone could ask for.Rest in peace my friend until we get together again for breakfast.

Mike, Dave, Jeff, & Karen,
Our thoughts and prayers are with the whole Klopp family as you endure your loss. I did not know your dad as well as I would have liked, but do know that my dad & mom had/have always spoken highly of him and your entire family. I'll never forget seeing Dave & Dave Jr. at my dad's, and then a few years later, my brother Tom's funeral(s) up in Wickenburg. That always meant a lot to me and our family....may God Bless the Klopp family in your time of sorrow.
