David A. Scholl, 53, of Tiffin, passed away Thursday, November 16, 2017 at his home after a brief illness.

He was born on January 25, 1964, in Tiffin, Ohio to Charles “Red” and Dorothy (Wetzel) Scholl.

Survivors include his mother, Dorothy (Joe) Schock of Tiffin; Daughter, Ali (Jordan) Durr of Delaware, OH; brothers, Mark Scholl and Philip Scholl both of CA, Matt (Susan) Scholl and Andrew Scholl both of Tiffin, Patrick Scholl of MT., Michael (Patty) Scholl of Tiffin; Sister, Rebecca (Anthony) Foster of Bascom; one Nephew and three Nieces.

He was preceded in death by his father, Red Scholl and his dog Bear.

David was raised in St. Mary Catholic Church and graduate in 1982 from Tiffin Calvert High School and enlisted in the U.S. Army, stationed in Germany.  Upon his return, he lived in Florida for a few years and returned to Tiffin, working at Seneca Medical for over 10 years and later at POET Biorefining in Fostoria for several years.  He enjoyed being organized, camping at Sunset Springs in Oceola, watching classic TV shows and was a Cleveland Indians and Browns fan.   David was a member of AmVets Post 48 in Tiffin.

A Memorial service will be Friday, November 24, 2017 at 12:00 Noon at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory with Rev. Frank Murd officiating.  Burial will follow with Military Honors by the United Veterans Council in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery.

Friends may visit with the family on Friday, November 24, 2017 from 10-12:00 Noon at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Seneca County Humane Society or to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
