Donna J. Hurt

Donna J. Hurt, 89, of Tiffin, passed away on Thursday morning, August 16, 2018 at St. Francis Home.

She was born on February 6, 1929, in Tiffin, Ohio to Fred and Nola (Bare) Schatzinger.  On June 18, 1946, she married Arnold Hurt and he preceded her in death in 2008.

Survivors include her son, Richard A. (Robin) Hurt of Tiffin; daughter, Cynthia L. (Ralph) Marangio of Columbus; grandchild, Brenton  (Jessica) Hurt; great-grandchildren, Kylie, Ethan, Reegan, Keltin and Emmoryn Hurt.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; and five brothers, Gene Schatzinger, Richard Schatzinger, Francis Schatzinger, Fred Schatzinger and Robert Schatzinger.

Donna graduated in 1946 from Tiffin Columbian High School, was a clerk at JcPenny and worked as a cosmetologist at Super X, retiring after ten plus years.  She enjoyed shopping, sewing, gardening, being at home and loved her cats and dogs over the years.

Her funeral service will be at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, August 21, 2018 at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-2424 with Rev. Paul Tyree  officiating.  Burial will follow in Fairmont Cemetery.

Friends may visit with the family from 6-8:00 P.M. on Monday, August 20, 2018 at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Wyandot County Humane Society, St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital or to Stein Hospice.
