Earl W. DeLong, 94, of Tiffin, passed away on Thursday morning, October 26, 2017 at his home.

He was born on August 18, 1923, in Van Wert County, to Carl and Anna Gail (Davis) DeLong.  On August 25, 1946, he married Gladys Bauer and she preceded him in death on May 24, 2015.

Survivors include his daughter, Diane (Hank) Hilty of Los Angeles, CA; sister, Betty Palmer of Jacksonville, FL; grandsons, Christopher (Katie) Hilty and Michael (Katrina) Hilty both of Los Angeles, CA; great grandchild, Mika Hilty; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by his parents; son, Kenneth Earl DeLong; brothers, Byron DeLong and Donald DeLong; and sister, Ruth Turner

Earl graduated from Union Twp. High School in 1941, from Findlay University and Miami University.  He served in the United States Army Air Corp. and owned Clinton Heights Golf Course for over 48 years.  Earl was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ, where he volunteered for many years and volunteered at the Ritz Theatre.

There will be no visitation or services at this time.  Burial will be private at a later date at Taylor Cemetery in Van Wert.

Memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice Care, Ritz Theatre or to the Humane Society of Seneca County.
