Elizabeth Ann “Betsy” Brose, 74, of Sycamore, passed away on Tuesday evening, June 27, 2017 at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center.

She was born on May 19, 1943, in Tiffin, Ohio to Carole and Freda (Lust) France.  On August 1, 1964, she married Andrew J. Brose.

Survivors include her husband, Andrew of Sycamore; sons, Craig (Angie) Brose of Chagrin Falls, Christopher (Lindy Hall) Brose of Tiffin and Scott Brose of Sycamore; brother, James (Marylyn) France of Las Vegas, NV; grandchildren, Nicki, Jesse and Josh; one niece; one nephew; and five great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Betsy graduated in 1961 from Tiffin Calvert High School, worked as a nurse’s aide for a few years at Mercy Hospital and babysat for children around the area.  She was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church, where she taught C.C.D. and was a member of the Women’s Guild and she enjoyed traveling, shopping for antiques, collecting dolls and loved animals; especially her cats, Butterscotch and Mittens.  Betsy enjoyed spending time with her family and taking care of her children and grandchildren. 

Her Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, July 3, 2017 at St. Pius X Catholic Church, Sycamore, with Rev. Gary Walters officiating.  Burial will be at 2:00 P.M. in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
