Elsie L. Klepper, 93, of Tiffin, passed away peacefully Friday, June 21, 2019 at home surrounded by her family.
She was born July 18, 1925 in Findlay to Edson Clare and Nettie Vilette (Peters) Hartman. On April 19, 1952, she married Robert A. Klepper.
Elsie was a beloved mother to her six children, Tanya Klepper of Franktown, CO; Kris (Shannon) Klepper of McCutchenville; Maggie (Vince) Noone of Parker, CO; Michael (Karen) Klepper of Tiffin; cherished grandmother to 13 grandchildren, great grandmother to her namesake, Elsie K. Kiesel and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sons, Daniel G. Klepper, infant son, R. Anthony Klepper, granddaughter, Francis M. Klepper, brothers, Kenneth and Roy Hartman , sisters, Miriam Saul, Ruth Reynolds, and Sara Gore.
Elsie was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and a graduate of Liberty Benton High School. She worked as a welder with her sister in a munitions factory during WWII and later became a flight attendant for American Airlines. Elsie shared her kindness, as a volunteer for many charities over the years and she was an avid golfer with two holes in one to her credit.
The family gratefully acknowledges the loving and compassionate care given to their parents by TLC Homecare, Dr. Michael Felton MD, Dr. Jack Felton DDS, Mercy Health-Tiffin Hospital, Heartland Hospice, Rev. Joseph Szybka and dear friend, Marilyn Rohrbach.
A private family Mass for Robert and Elsie has taken place at St. Joseph Catholic Church with burial at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
The Klepper children would like to invite family and friends to a celebration of life at Ironwood Steakhouse, 4399 South State Route 231, Tiffin, OH 44883 on Tuesday, June 25, 2019 from 5-7:30 PM.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Dan Klepper Memorial Scholarship, C/O Tiffin Charitable Foundation or St. Joseph Catholic Church.
