Eugene H. Weber

March 1, 1927 ~ January 5, 2018 (age 90) 90 Years Old

Eugene H. “Gene” Weber, 90, of Findlay, passed away on Friday morning, January 5, 2018 at Bridge Care Center.

He was born on March 1, 1927, in Tiffin, to Milo W. and Helen G. (Danback) Weber.  On April 3, 1945, he married Joan M. Brown and she preceded him in death on February 14, 2006.

Survivors include his son, John (Jeanne) Weber of Indianapolis, IN; three daughters, Pat Hottenstein, Susan (Dan) Kerlin and Linda (Ron) Tipton, all of Findlay; brothers, Darl Weber of Kettering; seven grandchildren, Annette (Richard) Sweat, Scott (Seon-Ok) Hottenstein, Dennis (Dawn) Kerlin, Amy (Greg) Kuhlman, Kendra (Thom) Weber-Crowe, Doug Tipton (K-Leigh Phillips) and A.J. (Sara) Tipton; 15 great-grandchildren; and 3 great, great-grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by his parents; brothers, John E. Weber and Howard M. Weber; son-in-law, Walter H. Hottenstein; great-granddaughter, Allison A. Kuhlman; two infant great-grandsons, Joshua Kerlin and Patrick Bell.

Gene served in the United States Navy from February 20, 1945 to May 25, 1946 and retired from American Standard after 34 years. Upon retirement, he worked at the Hickory Lane Horse Farm in Findlay until the age of 80. He was a long-time member of St. John’s United Church of Christ, where he served as a council member and also a member of the Mid-Day Fellowship.  Gene drove stock cars starting in the 1950s at area tracks and was an avid bowler.

His Funeral Service will be at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday January 9, 2018 at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, with Rev. Eric D. Rummel officiating.  Burial will follow in Seneca Memory Gardens with military honors being conducted by the United Veterans Council.

Friends may visit with family from 3-8 P.M. on Monday, January 8, 2018 at the funeral home.
