Florence V. Kuhn, 99, of Tiffin, passed away on Wednesday evening, May 24, 2017 at her home.

She was born on July 28, 1917, in New Riegel, Ohio, to Albert and Veronica (Nick) Zender.  On April 30, 1938 in St. Mary Catholic Church, she married Harold R. Kuhn and he preceded her in death on September 18, 1987. 

Survivors include her son, Richard (Carmen) Kuhn of Tiffin; daughter, Sharon A. Gruss of  Wildwood, IL; sisters, Velma Strahm of Fostoria, Mabel Putnam of Green Springs and Esther Schluttenhofer of Phoenix, AZ; 8 grandchildren; Todd Malone, Chris Malone and Rex Malone, Dawn Mohrman, Kim Reidling, Rusty Kuhn, Brad Gruss and Scott Gruss; and 17 great-grandchildren; and 7 great, great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Judy Swerlein; four brothers, Ralph, Earl, Woodrow and Gene; three sisters, Helen Zimmerman, Pearl Thiry and Mildred Hall; and two grandchildren, Rodney Kuhn and Mike Malone.

Florence graduated in 1935 from New Riegel High School and retired in 1979, after 25 years, from Tiffin Glass, in the packaging and stem work departments.  She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Rosary Altar Society and the Pioneer Auto Club.

Her Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at St. Mary Catholic Church with Rev. Gary Walters officiating.  A Rosary will be prayed 20 minutes prior to Mass.  Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.

Friends may visit with the family from 6-8:00 P.M. on Monday, May 29, 2017 at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-2424.

Memorial contributions may be made to Stein Hospice or St. Mary Catholic Church.
