Garrison D. “Garry” Rennels, 66, of Tiffin, passed away on Wednesday, November 6, 2019 at The James Cancer Center, Columbus.
He was born on December 6, 1952, to Donald D. and Janet (Osgood) Rennels. On August 4, 1974, he married Margot “Melissa” Heiser.
Survivors include his mother, Janet Rennels of Tiffin; wife, Melissa Rennels of Tiffin; son, Will L.G. Rennels of Tiffin; daughters, Lydia L. Rennels of Columbus and Emma C. (Matthew) Wellbaum of Piqua; brother, Craig (Linda) Rennels of Findlay; sister, Linda (Paul) Schleuniger of Wildomar, CA; and four grandchildren, Remington, Aubrey, Everett and Jaxson.
He was preceded in death by his father, Donald D. Rennels.
Garry graduated in 1970 from Tiffin Columbian High School, worked as an electrical salesman for Mansfield Electric and Sandusky Electric for over 20 years and was a bus driver for Tiffin City Schools for seven years. He enjoyed fishing, canoeing, camping, riding his motorcycle, cross-country motorcycle trips with his wife to the West and East Coasts, being outdoors, reading, collecting all types of hats, loved his cat, Chester and was a music aficionado.
A Celebration of Life will be from 3-7:00 P.M. on Saturday, January 11, 2020 at the American Legion, Tiffin.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family in c/o of the funeral home.
