Helen M. King, 66, of Tiffin, passed away on Thursday morning, November 9, 2017 at her home.

She was born on January 30, 1951, in Tiffin, Ohio, to Royal and Ella Marie (Schleter) Hoover.  On July 4, 1996, she married Richard C. King.

Survivors include her husband, Richard of Tiffin; son, John (Andrea) Carroll of Tiffin; daughter, Michelle (Ronald) Ardner of Tiffin; stepsons, Robert C. King and Shane L. (Evelyn) King, both of North Carolina; brother, Stephen Hoover of Dayton; sisters, Jean Marie Pettaway of Bronx, NY, Kathleen Fitzpatrick of Kansas, Margaret (Larry) Spaun of Green Springs, Jane (Steve) Wilson of Tiffin and Barbie (Larry) Aller of Findlay; 4 grandchildren, Drew (Natalie) Ardner, Marcus Ardner, Shayna Lynn (Jeremy) Matheny and Steven King; and 3 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Dale Hoover and Donald Hoover; and sister, Elizabeth Pachlhofer.

Helen worked at Owen Illinois Packaging and later at Graham Packaging in Findlay for more than 10 years, retiring in 2006.  She was a member of Women of the Moose where she served as past senior regent, member of the Tiffin Eagles #402 and a life member of the AmVets #48.  She enjoyed volunteering for funeral dinners at the Moose, drawing, oil painting, gambling, bowling, golfing, fishing, creating meals, gardening and canning.

Her funeral service will be at 11:30 A.M. on Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-2424 with Rev. Anthony Coci officiating.  Burial will follow in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery.

Friends may visit with the family from 4-7:00 P.M. on Tuesday, November 14, 2017 and from 10:30 A.M. until the time of the Service on Wednesday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to F.A.C.T. or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
