Irma Souder, 85, of Columbus and formerly of Tiffin, passed away Saturday, August 4, 2018.
She was born on December 3, 1932 in Bascom, Ohio to John and Isabelle (Christaphory) Kinn. She married Jim Souder on April 28, 1951 in St. Patrick Catholic Church in Bascom.
Survivors include daughters, Sheri (Rick) Smith of Westerville; Caryn (Terry) Folk of Bowling Green; Christie (Steven) Prue of Westerville; brother, John Kinn of Sandusky; sister, Mary Schmeltz of Fostoria; 10 grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 66 years, Jim; and a sister, Marjorie Thomas.
Irma was a 1950 graduate of Hopewell Loudon High School. She worked at WSOS in Tiffin as the Program Director and spent a number of years at Magers Lumber Company. Irma loved to spend time with her family and motor home traveling around the United States. Irma and Jim visited all 50 states and traveled to South America. They moved to Columbus 13 years ago to be close to family. She was a master of the lost art of tatting and loved to bake and decorate cakes for her kids and grandkids.
Visitation will be Wednesday, August 8, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. until Noon at All Saints Parish, at the Bascom Site, followed by a Rite of Christian Funeral at Noon with Rev. Timothy Kummerer officiating. Burial will follow in St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery.
