James E. “Jim” Ferguson, 77, of Tiffin, passed away on Friday morning, October 20, 2017 at his home.

He was born on September 28, 1940, in Tiffin, Ohio, to Everett and Dorothy (Nichols) Ferguson.  On October 9, 1965, he married Cecilia Davis and she preceded him in death on March 21, 2004.

Survivors include his sons, Troy Ferguson of Tiffin and Dean Ferguson of North Canton; daughter, Monica (Shannon) Bragg of North Canton; brother Bob Ferguson of Tiffin; and grandson, T.J. Bragg of North Canton.

He was also preceded in death by his parents.

Jim graduated in 1960 from Tiffin Columbian High School and served in the United States Army from April 4, 1961 to 1964, as a mechanic.  He worked at American Standard for 35 years, retiring in 1998.  Jim was president of the athletic boosters and volunteered his time at the School of Opportunity for 30 years, coached volleyball, basketball and track, was an OSU Fan and was always attending games at Columbian High School.  He enjoyed fishing at the lake, trips to Put-In-Bay, camping, working out at Bodyworks, going out to eat and spending time with his family.

His Funeral Service will be at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-2424 with Rev. Joseph Szybka officiating.  Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery with military honors by the Seneca County United Veterans.

Friends may visit with the family from 5-7:00 P.M. on Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at the funeral home.
