Jamie E. Hoover, 51, of Bellevue and formerly of Tiffin, passed away on Thursday, January 10, 2019 in Michigan after a brief battle with cancer.
On August 26, 1967 in Fostoria, he was born to Kenneth L. and Carolyn (Hepp) Hoover. He married Rhonda Berry and she survives in Bellevue.
Survivors include his wife of 28 years, children, Miranda Hoover of Colorado; Colton (Autumn) Hoover of Clyde, OH; Savannah Hoover of Bellevue, OH; brothers, Stephen D. (Jane) Hoover of Tiffin; Timothy A. (Diane) Hoover of Battle Creek, MI; Douglas M. (Carrie) Hoover of Bascom, OH and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, stepmother, Lois Hoover and brother, Gerald A. Hoover.
Jamie was a 1986 graduate of Tiffin Columbian High School and remained close to his friends from high school. He moved to Pigeon Forge, TN in 1996 and was a maintenance supervisor for The Track Amusement Park in Pigeon Forge before returning to Bellevue in 2006. He was an Oakland Raiders fan, talented wood worker and carver, enjoyed his Harley Davidson, boating, gardening and working on tractors.
His funeral will be Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, OH 44883, 419-447-2424 with Pastor Maxine Emly officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
Friends may visit and share stories with the family on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 from 4-7 PM at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
