Janice Krupp Obituary

Janice Marie Krupp, 82, passed away Monday August 12, 2019, at the Kingston Memory Care Nursing Home, in Perrysburg.

Janice was born May 6, 1937 in New Washington, to Clemence and Frances (Hoehn) Bishop. Jan graduated from New Washington High School in 1955 and married Thomas Krupp in 1957 at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church in New Washington. In 2017, Thomas and Janice celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary.

Janice is survived by her five sons, Michael (Mary) of Grand Rapids, MI, Jeffrey (Karen) of Upper Arlington, Matthew of Tiffin, Bryan (Patty) of Lewis Center and Eric (Amy) of Toledo; 11 grandchildren, Shannon (Mike) Slater, Justine (Matt) VanderZwaag, Alex (John) Stevens, Abbey (Nate) Johnson, Jamie Krupp, Andrew Krupp, Ethan Krupp, Sydney Krupp, Owen Krupp, Anthony Krupp and Bella Krupp; six great-grandchildren, Tyler, Madisen, and Jackson VanderZwaag, Kayden, Aubri and Clay Stevens; four siblings, Ronald (Betty) Bishop and Larry (Velma) Bishop of New Washington, Doris Arnold of Plymouth and Shirley (LeRoy) Burkin of Clyde.

Janice was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas; parents; infant son, Paul Krupp; and sister, Alice Decker.

Jan managed the home while raising five boys, as well as managing a handful of rental properties and helping with their maintenance. Jan loved playing cards, especially euchre with family and friends, solitaire, Scrabble, crossword puzzles, and listening to Elvis.  Later in life, Jan worked in housekeeping at the L&K Motel and laughed at her title of President of Krupp Properties. Janice was an awesome Grandma and loved taking care of her grandchildren (especially the girls).

A Mass of Christian burial will begin at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, August 17, 2019, at St. Joseph Catholic Church with the Rev. Joseph Szybka officiating. A Rosary will be prayed 20 minutes prior to the Mass. Burial will be private at a later date in the parish cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church.
