Jean E. Rosier, 96, formerly of rural McCutchenville and more recently of Tiffin, died Tuesday evening, October 23, 2018 at Seneca House.
She was born in Fostoria, Ohio on October 1, 1922 to James and Alma (Jones) Pierce. She married Morris W. Rosier of rural McCutchenville on June 6, 1942 and he preceded her in death on May 19, 1999.
Survivors include her daughter, Carole (Butch) Cook of Oak Harbor; daughter-in-law, Brenda Rosier of New Riegel; four grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; son, Dennis "Denny" Rosier; siblings, Laura Burke, Aaron Pierce, Wesley Pierce, Charles Pierce, Daniel Pierce and Juanita Jones; and great-grandchild, Lucy Rosier.
She was a former employee of the Auto-Lite in Fostoria, a homemaker and helper on the family farm and she enjoyed baking, gardening, fishing and antique cars. She was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Upper Sandusky and a member of the Pioneer Auto Club in Findlay and the Penn-Ohio Flying Qualls Auto Club.
Her funeral service will be at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, October 27, 2018 at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory with Rev. Clayton Bailey officiating. Burial will follow in Bethel Cemetery.
Friends may visit with the family from 6-8:00 P.M. on Friday, October 26, 2018 at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-2424 and from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the funeral on Saturday.
