Joseph R. Turner

Joseph R. “Joe” Turner, 55, of Tiffin, passed away on Wednesday morning, August 15, 2018.

He was born on May 19, 1963, in Tiffin, Ohio, to Donn and Marlene (Brown) Turner.  On June 19, 1987, he married Gin Smith.

Survivors include his mother, Marlene Turner of Tiffin; wife, Gin of Tiffin; sons, Jacob (Kathryn Andrachik) Turner of Rocky River and First Lt. Chase (Samantha) Turner, USMC, Camp Pendleton, San Diego, CA; brother, Pete (Teresa) Turner of Woodbridge, VA; sister, Fran (Pete) Kleinhenz of Tiffin; and one grandchild, Leo Dixon Turner.

He was preceded in death by his father, Donn Turner; and brother, David Turner.

Joe graduated in 1981 from Tiffin Columbian High School and owned Joe’s Lawn Care for the past four years.  Prior to that, he worked at Klepper’s for fifteen years.  He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and enjoyed motorcycling, golfing, music, traveling around the United States and his German Shepherd/Lab mix, Tank.  He was a member of AA, sober for 18 years, 5 months.  Joe would help anyone, was proud of his boys and family was very important to him.

His funeral service will be at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, August 18, 2018 at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-2424 with Rev. Joseph Szybka officiating.  There will be no burial at this time.

Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the Service on Saturday at the funeral home.
