Kathleen "Kate" E. (Luidhardt) Winters

Kathleen E. “Kate” Winters, 95, of Tiffin, passed away on Monday afternoon, February 5, 2018 at the Elmwood at The Shawhan.

She was born on October 23, 1922, in Crawford County, to Otto C. and A. Velma (Brown) Luidhardt.  On July 15, 1944, she married Paul E. Winters and he preceded her in death on November 26, 1971.

Survivors include her son, Michael E. (Lynn) Winters of Evans, GA; daughter, Debra K. (Richard) Hohman of Tiffin; sister, Ruth Boyer of Tiffin; three grandchildren, Nichol Hohman, Ryan Hohman and Michael Winters, Jr.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; infant daughter, Sharon Ann Winters; brother, Carl Luidhardt; sister, Miriam Reed; and grandson, Tommy Winters.

Kate retired in 1987 from Jack H. Payne & Associates and was an active member of First Lutheran Church, the Piece Corp. Sewing Group in the church, X-Y Club and volunteered in the gift shop in Mercy Tiffin Hospital.

Her funeral service will be at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at First Lutheran Church with Rev. Clayton Bailey officiating.  Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.

Friends may visit with the family from 9:30 A.M. until the time of the Service on Tuesday, in the Dietz Room at First Lutheran Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Lutheran Church.
