Larry E. “Pork” Wenner, 78, passed away on Wednesday, January 15, 2020 at Volunteers of America Autumnwood Care Center.
He was born on April 7, 1941, in Tiffin, Ohio, to Lloyd and Doris (Cooley) Wenner.
Survivors include his sister, Sandy Halcomb of Palm Coast, Florida; sister-in-law, Gertrude Wenner of Bucyrus; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, James Wenner and Kenneth Wenner.
Larry graduated in 1959 from Tiffin Columbian High School where he was an All Ohio football player and attended Heidelberg College. He was a lineman at Tiffin Metal Products for years and also worked at the IGA in Bloomville and at Woody’s Drive-In in Fremont. He enjoyed bowling, harness horses, playing cards, collecting stamps and coins and was a Cleveland Browns, Cleveland Indians and an Ohio State Buckeye fan.
A Graveside Service will be at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
The family would like to thank Autumnwood Care Center for the last 17 years of care.
