Dear Aunt Betty and family,
My deepest sympathy goes out to you in your grief. Uncle Leo was the best! He had so many of the same qualities as my Dad. He had a gentle strength and was so good-hearted. He also possessed that laid-back Smith sense of humor. God has blessed you with having that man be such an inspiring force in your life.

My thoughts and prayers are with you all,
Mona Smith Cleary

My Dear Aunt Betty and Cousins and Families,
I am so saddened by the loss of your husband, Father and my Uncle. It was really great to see him at Nichole and Austins wedding last July! I thought he looked really good. I will never forget his loving ways, his beautiful smile and his great laugh! I will cherish the times we all spent together when we were younger, as I still remember quite a few. May Uncle Leo rest in much deserved peace, and may Perpetual Light Shine Upon Him. Well done my good and Faithful Servant., well done!
As for all of you, May Peace be with each and every one of you as you travel through this next phase of your lives. It will be hard but with the faith and strength of our Lord and the Great things your Dad taught you, you will make it through this.
Our prayers and thoughts are with you. Love you all,
Anne and Dan Velasquez

My deepest condolences to the Smith family. I remember Leo and Betty well. I always looked forward to seeing them at the softball games when Deb and I played together at Calvert, and again when Donnas daughter Kara and my daughter Abbi played together at Melmore foe summer league. Looking a parent is so hard, as I have lost both of mine and my in-laws as well. I am so sorry for the pain you are feeling. Blessed be your family.
