Lois Kathryn Hoover, 67, of Tiffin, passed away on Tuesday morning, December 19, 2017 at Bridge Hospice Care Center in Findlay.

She was born on August 17, 1950, in Tiffin, Ohio to Harold and Laura Lou (Graham) Schubert.  On December 20, 1973, she married Kenneth Hoover and he preceded her in death on August 26, 2007.

Survivors include her parents, Harold and Laura Schubert; sons, Timothy A. (Diane) Hoover of Battle Creek, MI and Douglas M. (Carrie) Hoover of Bascom; stepsons, Stephen D. (Jane) Hoover of Tiffin and Jamie E. (Rhonda) Hoover of Bellevue; sisters, Marcia (Marshall) Blue of Norwalk and Jane Schubert of Tiffin; 19 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her stepson, Gerald A. Hoover.

Lois graduated in 1968 from Tiffin Columbian High School, was a supervisor and cook for Aramark Services at Tiffin University and retired as the head cook from Friedman Village.  She was a member of Faith United Methodist Church, volunteered for many committees and mission trips, helped with funeral luncheons and church dinners and crocheted Baptismal blankets.  Lois also worked at Molyets, volunteered for F.A.C.T. and for the Cherry Street Mission.  She enjoyed knitting and crocheting hats and mittens for under privileged children and selling shirts, crafts and jewelry at flea markets.

Her Funeral Service will be at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, December 22, 2017 at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-2424 with Rev. Marilyn Coney officiating.  Burial will follow in Seneca Memory Garden Cemetery.

Friends may visit with the family from 4-8:00 P.M. on Thursday, December 21, 2017 at the Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may be made to F.A.C.T or to Faith United Methodist Church.
