Lucille Marie Burger, 95, of Tiffin passed peacefully on Monday, June 11, 2018 at the Manor of Perrysburg.
Born May 12, 1923 in Tonkawa, Oklahoma to George W. and Clara I. (Carder) Rupert, Lucille moved as a child to Delphos, Ohio. She graduated from Delphos St. John’s High School, married John E. Burger and had five children. They moved in 1962 to Tiffin, OH because of John’s work with the Ohio Power Company (A.E.P) raised her children and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Parish. Lucille worked for several years at United Insurance Service and American Finance Company before, fulfilling her lifelong dream of becoming a nurse, attending Bowling Green School of Nursing and working at Fostoria City Hospital until retirement. Lucille loved gardening, flowers and tending her yard. Above all she loved her children, grandchildren, and finally, recently her great-grandson.
Lucille was preceded in death by her parents, husband John, siblings, George Rupert, Ethel Bendele, Irma Pohlman, Helen Owens, and daughter-in-law, Valerie Burger.
Survived by children John (Joan), James, Robert, Anntoinette, Judith (Gary); grandchildren, Kimberly, Eric, Kayla, Chad and great-grandchildren Logan.
Lucille wished for services to be private.
