Mardell M. (Lee) Hill

Mardell M. Hill, 87, of Tiffin, passed away on Monday, May 27, 2019 at Volunteers of America Autumnwood Care Center.

She was born on February 24, 1932, in Green Springs, Ohio to Arthur and Gladys (Lippert) Lee.  On August 21, 1948, she married Robert C. Hill and he preceded her in death on January 12, 2006.

Survivors include her son, Doug Hill of Tiffin; daughters, Ginny (Charles) Rucker and Robin Keller, both of Tiffin, Dana (Tim White) Brown of Fostoria, Vicki (Brian Corfman) Hill of Carey and Debbie (Tim) Persinger of McCutchenville; brothers, Raymond Lee  and Clayton (Sandy) Lee, both of Tiffin; sister, Evie (Rick) James of Tiffin; 16 grandchildren; and 41 great grandchildren; 8 great, great grandchildren; and 1 great, great grandchild on the way.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; brother, Melvin Lee; sisters, Rosalyn “Rosie” Snyder, Maggie Boonie and Donna Carter; grandson, Bradley A. Rucker; and her Shih Tzu of 17 years, Penny.

Mardell was a homemaker and former member of Calvary Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday School.  She took care of foster children for over 15 years and enjoyed traveling, spending winters in Florida, Texas and Arizona, was an avid flower gardner and loved violets.  

Her Funeral Service will be at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, May 31, 2019 at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-2424 with Pastor Ruth Lynch officiating.  Burial will be in Fairmont Cemetery.

Friends may visit with the family from 4-8:00 P.M. on Thursday, May 30, 2019 at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Volunteers of America Autumnwood Care Center or the Humane Society of Seneca County.
