Marie Elizabeth Koehl, 92, of Tiffin, passed away on Saturday evening, September 15, 2018 at Seneca House.
She was born on December 17, 1925 in Crawford County, to William and Helen (Keppler) Geiger. On October 2, 1954, in College Hill United Church of Christ, she married Paul Koehl.
Survivors include her sons, David Koehl, of Tiffin and Tom (Lorie) Koehl, of Sandusky; daughters, Emily (Bob) Hemminger of Fostoria and Carol (Craig) Smith of Tiffin; sister, Freda Perry of Tiffin; nine grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Paul in 1973.
Marie graduated in 1944 from Lykens High School and from Marion Business School. She worked at U.S. Glass Company in Tiffin and in food service at Tiffin City Schools; retiring in 1990. She was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ where she volunteered. She also volunteered at the Ritz Theatre and Mercy Hospital of Tiffin. Marie loved helping others, baking and traveling, she visited all 50 States and France.
Her Funeral Service will be at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, September 20, 2018 at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory with Rev. Kurt Blaufuss officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Sycamore.
