Regina M. Gassner, 81, of Tiffin, went home to be with her heavenly Father at 3:09 A.M. on Tuesday, August 20, 2019 at The Stein Hospice Care Center in Sandusky.
Regina was born on October 7, 1937 in Tiffin to Edward and Leona (Fredritz) Werling. She married her sweetheart, Lambert H. Gassner, in St. Joseph Catholic Church, on April 25, 1959
She is survived by eight children, Timothy J. (Annette) Gassner of Tiffin, John J. Gassner of Columbus, Christine M. Gassner of Portage, MI, Annette M. (Harry) Wendland of Byron Center, MI, Diana A. (John) Hrib of Cuyahoga Falls, David A. (Lydia) Gassner of Cuyahoga Falls, Kimberly L. (Douglas) Wilkinson of Lancaster and Kathleen M. (Kerry) Dungan of Upper Arlington; thirteen grandchildren, Nicholas Gassner, Jacklyn Krabach, Aaron Gassner, Briana Wendland, Eric Wendland, Elizabeth Gassner, George Gassner, Hope Gassner, Leanna Hrib, Marissa Wilkinson, James Wilkinson, Audrey Dungan and Claire Dungan; two great grandchildren, one sister, Rita (Jack) Myramn of Phoenix, AZ; brothers-in law, Mike Reimer and Neil Gassner; and sisters-in-law, Ruth Buchman and Janeen Giles.
She was preceded in death by seven brothers, Eugene, Paul, James, Harold, Edward, Gerald and Robert Werling; four sisters, Madelyn Kiesel, Joyce Mortimer, Mary Ann Kern and Donna Reimer.
Regina graduated from Tiffin Calvert High School in 1956 and worked 19 years at General Electric before retiring from Mercy Hospital of Tiffin. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and enjoyed playing the piano, sewing, arranging flowers and was best known for her love of baking.
Her Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, August 26, 2019 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Rev. Joseph Szybka officiating. A Rosary will begin 20 minutes prior to Mass. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
